Deaconess Ministry
Our VisionThe Deaconess Ministry wants to follow the vision, guidelines and directions of the Pastor, that the LORD has given him.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote growth and development among all members of our church.
Prayer Ministry
Our VisionWarriors on the Wall: This ministry is designed to be and under girding of spiritual warfare for each ministry of the Church. The inspiration for this "Watchman ministry" is taken from Isaiah 62:6-7: "On your walls, O Jerusalem I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You will remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; And give him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth."
Each month the various ministries of the Church list the prayer needs in their area and a prayer guide is mailed to each Warrior. There is a Warrior praying every hour of the day, every day of the week.
Partners in Prayer: In today's world we are surrounded by needs. People All around us are struggling with what often seems to be insurmountable problems. Partners in Prayer offers help to all of those engaged in life's problems through the ministry of prayer. Prayer are received from many different people in all walks of life. Numerous request are received every week. The needs are great! When you become an active part of Partners in Prayer, you will be assigned a time to pray each week and a detail list of current requests.
Senior Ministry
Our VisionThe Senior Ministry provides a variety of events to meet the needs of the seniors in the church once a month. They enjoy games and entertainment but mostly, the spirit of God in their fellowship.
The Senior Ministry has a membership of 24 people and growing. Since this ministry is designed for seniors, the minimum age should be at least 62 years of age.
Young Woman's Auxiliary
Our VisionYWA is an organization of young women for missions study, personal evangelism and mission action. They work to involve Young women in God's redemptive work in todays world. The fellowship is designed to help young women to be God's deemed and to do work to bring others into the fellowship. The purpose is to more fully and effectively involve young women in the work of the church. The aim is to carry to every person the gospel of Jesus Christ. The message is God's love and redemption for the world.
Who We Are: The YWA members includes every young woman in Mt. Zion Baptist Church and we are always looking for new recruits.
Youth Ministry
Our Vision
We're different from youth ministries which simply provide "entertainment" for their youth. We want to have a variety of activities available, however when it comes to the Word of God, we want to be SERIOUS!! These are a few of the things that the Lord has directed our hearts to accomplish with the youth though ministry:
- To encourage and build their relationship with Jesus Christ. This, of course, is first priority to equip them with all they'll need to fulfill God's purpose for their life.
- Evangelism is also an important part of our Youth Ministry. We are training the youth to reach out to the young people in our community and are seeing lives changed and youth receiving Jesus Christ through this outreach ministry.
- Christian "Fun" : We want to keep a busy schedule for our youth throughout the year: bowling, Bible Study, Lock-ins, picnics and other exciting field trips are only a small part of our exciting fun and fellowship. We also want to provide a couple of "big events" during the year(i.e. Gospel Fest, Summer Camp, Beach trips, Mission trips etc.)
