Prayer Ministry

Our Vision

Warriors on the Wall: This ministry is designed to be and under girding of spiritual warfare for each ministry of the Church.  The inspiration for this "Watchman ministry" is taken from Isaiah 62:6-7:  "On your walls, O Jerusalem I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent.  You will remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; And give him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth."

Each month the various ministries of the Church list the prayer needs in their area and a prayer guide is mailed to each Warrior.  There is a Warrior praying every hour of the day, every day of the week.

Partners in Prayer: In today’s world we are surrounded by needs.  People All around us are struggling with what often seems to be insurmountable problems.  Partners in Prayer offers help to all of those engaged in life's problems through the ministry of prayer.  Prayer are received from many different people in all walks of life.  Numerous request are received every week.  The needs are great! When you become an active part of Partners in Prayer, you will be assigned a time to pray each week and a detail list of current requests.  For more information on this ministry or to find out about available hours contact Pastor Walton at 803-699-6593.

Zion Baptist Church:  To impact the world with Godly families!

Who We Are:

Presently we have an active membership of 15-20 people.  Our membership includes students from high school, secondary schools, technical schools, and collegiate institutions.

Young Adult Ministry

Introduction

The Young Adult Ministry was born out of the burdens and prayers of Pastor Walton.  It was through these prayers that God reveals the need for a ministry that could meet the needs of the youth on both spiritual and physical plains.  He puts this burden in the hearts of brothers and sisters who eventually initiated the Young Adult Ministry.  It was hoped that through the Young Adult Ministry, the youth in our church would develop a greater consciousness of their essential unity as members of the Body of Christ and wider cooperation in their service and work for God.  As a result, their spiritual and physical needs would be met.

Our Objectives

1.      To minister to the needs (spiritual, physical, and mental) of young adults within the church as well as those outside the church

2.      To equip and train young adults as disciples of Jesus Christ. ( In the Word in the gifts and in moving in the Holy Spirit.)

3.      To help adults discover their and potentials in Jesus Christ and motivate them in service for the Lord.

4.      To involve young adults in local church evangelism (especially personal evangelism and missions)

Youth Ministry

Our Vision

We’re different from youth ministries which simply provide “entertainment” for their youth.  We want to have a variety of activities available, however when it comes to the Word of God, we want to be SERIOUS!!  These are a few of the things the Lord has directed our hearts to accomplish with the youth through ministry:

·        To encourage and build their relationship with Jesus Christ.  This, of course, is first priority to equip them with all they’ll need to fulfill God’s purpose for their life.

·        Evangelism is also an important part of our Youth Ministry.  We are training the youth to reach out to the young people in our community and are seeing live changed and youth receive Jesus Christ through this outreach ministry.

·        Christian “Fun”-We want to keep a busy schedule for our youth throughout the year: bowling, Bible Study, lock-ins, picnics and other exciting field trips are only a small part of our exciting fun and fellowship.  We also want to provide a couple of “big events” during the year(i.e. Gospel Fest, Summer Camp, Beach trips, Mission Trips etc.)
